a lesson to learn By Jason Ritter I remember as a kid, My sister and I was about 5 and 6. We were being watched by our neighbor Amy. She was an attractive teenager but more than attractive we had fun with her and looked up to her as being cool. We often would walk the Pakistan store which was a convenience store when I guess would equate to a 7-11. Amy would get her soda and although she we always had fun with Amy and these walks to Paks was frequent she never bought us anything. So my sister and I decided to pocket candy and not pay for it..We did this many times.When we got home, Amy was drinking her soda and watching Hollywood Squares while my sister and I went to our room to secretly eat the candy we had stolen..Well months later mom came home and caugt my sister and I with candy.First candy was not a thing we had alot of so we couldnt say we got it from the fridge.We also knew that when mom raised her voice it was all about business and she needed answers.She asked where did we get the candy...With the look she gave us I thought it was a belt from her, she tell my dad, or we just tell the truth...well we told the truth thinking as the bible says the truth will set you free..we it did and we did learn from this lesson..She walked us up to the store and humiliated us in from of the cashier and said my kids stole this candy and I want to pay for it...It was the most embarassing thing..We then heard all about stealing and how wrong it was..I love my mom for many reason and this is a lesson that has stayed in my mind.
